With an area of 3,304 square kilometres, Nyandarua County had a population of 638,289 people as of 2019. The levels of education in this county very drastically, with only 19% of people having attended secondary school and about 2% having a post secondary education.

Nyandarua County's main economic activity is agriculture, with potato farming being most prominent. There are a number of barriers such as insufficient electricity and water, as well as poor road systems for transportation. With poverty levels being high (over 76%) in this region, an optimal investment for the people and land would be in farming.
