Unlocking Potential, One Child at a Time
The Nyakim Project is a Toronto- and Kenya-based nonprofit dedicated to unlocking potential through education in Kilifi, Kenya—where nearly 70% of the population lives below the poverty line.
The project supports children who would otherwise be unable to attend school by covering fees, uniforms, and supplies. Their holistic approach also addresses food security, emergency healthcare, and emotional support to help students truly thrive.
Inspired by one girl’s determination to go to school, the Nyakim Project has grown into a mission to transform lives through education. They work in close partnership with Dorcas Community Organization, led by lifelong educator Rhoda Mumo, to identify and support students in need.
