Somalia is one of the harshest places in the world for children to live, facing severe malnutrition, displacement and lack of education, as well as climate change issues such as drought.
Dayniile is part of the Banaadir region in the southeast, which is not only the smallest administrative region, but has the largest population. This area is considered to be fairly safe and has good economic opportunities and resources.
Our work with the Afrah Orphans Education Centre in Dayniile serves to empower those most vulnerable in the community. The Centre believes that the human capital development of the people and the growth of the nation are completely dependent on a good education system and structure.
