Your purchase of an item supports Kijiji Cha Upendo (Village of Love) Children’s Project in its mission to lift women and children in Kibera out of extreme poverty, and also supports the businesses of the Kenyan craftspeople from whom the products were purchased. Many items are named for a woman, girl or boy in the project. Where possible, when you purchase an item, you will receive the story of that person!
Unless otherwise stated, all jewellery items are made from polished horn or bone and are in a style popular with the local women. Necklaces have a screw clasp. Bracelets are elasticized to fit all sizes.
Arrangements can be made for pick up in the Bloor West Village, Toronto, or we can ship an item at the purchaser’s expense.
