CAP AIDS Uganda is a Ugandan charity that ignites hope for youth who are affected by or at high risk of HIV & AIDS, violence, and humanitarian crises. It built and operates the Home of Hope, a safe space in the Lira District of northern Uganda where young women can live for a period of 5 months and receive wrap-around support, including basic health services, nutritious food, psychosocial counseling, vocational skills training, childcare for their infant children, and follow-up guidance and support for new livelihoods - igniting hope for a brighter future. 

 

Through our fundraising efforts, the 2024 CAP AIDS Ride for Hope will enable 20 young women to participate in the Home of Hope's wrap-around support program. Additionally, funds raised will expand income earning enterprises at the Home of Hope - such as chicken hatchery, tomato cultivation, and event catering services - and improve the Safe Space hassle-free information counseling center.
