Dear Supporters,

You've supported me generously and many times in this Ride for Village of Love in Kenya.

The program is still going strong, thanks to your support. The mothers are still caring for children whose parents died of AIDS and enhancing their small businesses with the support of the program. The children are still attending school and the families are receiving psychosocial support to manage their situations. Recently they've been through even more difficult times like floods and the loss of funding for HIV treatment when the USAID program was suddenly terminated. Thankfully program staff have been able to locate temporary sources for medications but everyone with HIV and affected by this lives with even more uncertainty. Village of Love Canada has been able to send some funds to pay for food which helps people with HIV to maintain their health longer as they wait for permanent sources of life-saving medications. Your donations help to fund needs in these extreme circumstances. Thank you for considering supporting me in this ride. I'm grateful to have good health and to be able to ride. Robyn

Robyn Salter's CAP Ride 2025 campaign - Village of Love Canada - Pedalers with Purpose

Join us in pedaling with purpose!

We’re a team of passionate volunteers cycling to support women in Kenya who are doing something extraordinary—raising orphaned children alongside their own, often with very limited resources. Through CAP Network's annual bikeathon, we’re raising funds to help them provide food, education, and a brighter future for the children in their care.

All proceeds from this ride go to Kijiji Cha Upendo (Village of Love) Children’s Project, a grassroots organization based in Nairobi. Since 2010, Village of Love has been empowering caregivers through micro-loans and small business training, as well as offering psychosocial support, parenting workshops, life skills training, health referrals, and help with school fees.
