The invasion of Ukraine has significantly impeded Africa’s economic development and recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. Food shortages, climate shocks, a massive public debt burden, and inflation, are currently threatening the economy of Kenya. This dire situation means many girls will be denied an education, as it is usually girls who are held back during economic hardship.
Graceland Africa Mission is focused on promoting gender equity through education. We have been assisting Kenyan girls through our Right to Be scholarship program since 2016. The girls live in poverty and many girls are from single mother led families. Yet, the girls have achieved academic success far above the national average. For more information see www.gracelandafrica.com
For the 2023 CAP Ride, we are raising funds to assist girls in secondary school, college, and university. We currently have six grade 12 graduates who need financial support to attend college or university in September, 2023.
We believe every girl has a Right to Be educated.
The girls need $1000 - $2000 per year.
Please consider helping them.
